Austyn Ducharme Does it Again !

Well folks, Austyn Ducharme has done it again.  Yes, another 300 game.

On Saturday, Nov 23rd, in the Golfer’s League at Chateau Lanes, Ducharme rolled games of 205, 300, and 248, for a series total of 753 !  He said he used an AMF Sumo bowling ball.  Oh, you never heard of it?  Either did I !!

Reid Newbiggin – First Career 300

A huge congratulations to Reid Newbiggin, one of our local youth bowlers, who rolled his first career 300 game in the Youth League at Laverendrye Lanes on Monday, November 25th.

Reid is a two-hander who has developed his game tremendously over the past two years.  He was on lanes 5 & 6, and said that the two lanes were playing so differently from each other.  He said that he had to use two different bowling balls, and was standing 11 boards further left on the left lane than he was on the right.  His scores were 192, 300, and 246, for a 738 series total.

Here’s his words about the perfecto:

“Finally bowled my first 300 game. Wanna say thank you to Earl Sobotkiewicz for coaching me and teaching me and to Michael Schmidt for drilling my awesome equipment and thank you to my awesome girlfriend for recording the final shots for me. Also, thanks to Storm Bowling for the Hyroad (left lane) and Motiv Bowling for the Villain Scorn (right lane)”.

Way to go Reid!  I’m sure there will be many more !

Dan Tereck – 750 series

Dan Tereck spared in the Red White & Blue League on Friday, Nov 15, 2019.  Who knew that he was going to have his best 3-game series in many years?

Tereck rolled games of 227, 244, and 279, for a series total of 750!  He used his Motiv  Venom Shock for much of the 1st game, but then switched to his Game Breaker II, and that’s when things really started happening!

The 279 third game was just a 7-pin short of a perfect  game.  But Tereck has no complaints.  He said that “Even a blind squirrel can find the odd acorn!”.

Jon Snyder Does It Again !

On October 29th, Jon Snyder rolled his 2nd career sanctioned 300 game.

Bowling in the Winnipeg Senior Men’s League (Winnipeg’s last remaining scratch league), at Laverendrye Lanes, Snyder rolled his perfecto in his 4th game of the night.

This is special because in this league the teams move to a new pair of lanes each game.  So that means Snyder had no practice shots on this pair of lanes that already had 3 games bowled on it by other teams.  Quite a feat!

Austyn Ducharme – Wow!

In the Golfer’s League at Chateau Lanes, on October 19th, Austyn Ducharme bowled his highest series ever, and it included a 300 game as well.

On lanes 7 & 8, he rolled games of 257, 267, and 300 for a series total of 824!  Ducharme said that he used his DV8 Misfit ball for the entire series.

This was his 3rd career perfect game.  We expect there will be more!!
