Please forward this message to your league members or teammates;
As I stated previously, I don`t like to give dates or approximate re-opening times.
Yogi Berra once said: `Making predictions is very difficult, especially about the future`. (He was a baseball player, not a philosopher).
I related to you in my last message that we should be open by Nov. 1. This was the date given to me by the person in charge of renovations.
Unfortunately, this will not happen because new material had to be reordered due to the second flood which was very damaging. Difficulty in obtaining this material was delayed for various reasons.
As a result the manpower is not always available when we need it.
This is not in our hands.
The two dates that were given to me during our last meeting were Nov. 9 when all the material will be here and Dec. 1 (at the latest) as our opening date.
I should be receiving a new plan of action tomorrow.
Remember, I am just the messenger.
Meanwhile, I ask you to continue to be patient: a shortened season is better than none at all. We ask you not to abandon us in our time of need.
We can have a season of 3 thirds or 3 quarters; you can continue into May and June if you so wish (possibly at a reduced price).
There are a variety of options and some of you may have ideas of your own for your league.
Please let me know what your thoughts are. I need help and feedback.
Thank you,
Ed
