Lynda Seewald, Edna Agapito
On December 8 & 9, 2018, the WTBA held the Recognition Singles Tournament which was a new tournament this season. The Board decided to recognize someone we felt had made a positive impact for our sport. This person chosen served as league secretary for several years; promptly submitted names for awards; advised the Tournament Committee of bowlers who had bowled a 200 game or better for inclusion in the 200 Club; promoted tournaments; and brought a lot of league bowlers out to the tournaments.
There was a lot of support from the bowling community with our decision to recognize Edna Agapito in this year’s Recognition Singles. The tournament saw more than 100 entries over the two days the tournament ran. And to top it off, Edna (and her crew) brought in food and fed every bowler and tournament worker on every shift. Thank you Edna!
A big thank you to the staff at LaVerendrye Lanes; Lynda Seewald, Tournament Director; Ron Molinski for tracking the scores; the tournament volunteers; the bowlers; and everyone who supported this tournament. Without you, this tournament would not have been as successful as it was.
