179 AND UNDER
We had a good turn out this year. The 179-and-Under tournament was held at Bowl Below Bowling Centre. Out of 30 possible bowlers, we had 29 out bowling. Last year we had 33 entries.
29 entries @ $12.50 = $362.50 + $150.00 Added = $512.50 Prize money.
The Winnipeg Tenpin Bowling Association added $200.00. $150.00 as Added prize money and $50.00 to high game with handicap.
Congratulations to Dennis Arabe, 2017’s winner.
Our defending winner Kim Olansky from last year did not defend her title.
Dion Delorme won the high game with handicap and received $50.00
A huge thank you to the staff at Bowl Below, Stephen Logan (Tournament director) Helen Fenk, Patricia Wight, Wanda Howard, Ron Molinski and Peter Wight for all their help with this year’s tournament.
A 50/50 raffle was held, with the proceeds to go towards our hosting of the Canadian Mixed Championships taking place here next year. The raffle winner took home $50.00
The lowest game of the tournament was 89 and the highest was 246.
